Our stand on Social Media Marketing
You may have heard that Facebook refused our ad to promote several of the Live interviews we did around the topic of racism. Their stated reasoning was that the content concerned social issues. I was flabbergasted and angry. Fortunately, through other channels, we managed to get the interviews out to nearly 10,000 people each time. In light of this we have decided to join in the July campaign, Stop Hate For Profit. We will not be advertising on Facebook during the month of July. I realize that the few hundred dollars we spend on Facebook each month won’t hurt Facebook, but it’s a protest that Chesapeake Family Life can participate in.
